This is the first in a series of panels in a collaborative art piece produced with fellow artist, Trinity Butcher. I create the panel with fabric yo-yos and attach yarn for hair. Trinity is the hair stylist. Images (L-R): Cut yarn, sewing in yarn to attached netting, beginning of attaching yarn, all yarn-hair attached and ready for Trinity’s magic.
Each of the colorful panels represent a child that has been murdered by a bullet coming from the gun of a rioter, gangster or mentally ill person.
Beautiful, young lives - they could have been physicians, plumbers, musicians, poets, athletes, engineers, bank tellers - we will never know.
